On November 2, 2009, responsibility for administering and delivering employment and training programs under the Canada-Newfoundland and Labrador Labour Market Development Agreement (LMDA) was transferred from the Federal government to the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador.
As part of the LMDA Agreement, the Province also assumed responsibility for delivering the National Job Bank Service in Newfoundland and Labrador. The full transfer of responsibility for this service will be effective as of June 4, 2010. As of this date:
