Information for Employers Registered with the National Job Bank

On November 2, 2009, responsibility for administering and delivering employment and training programs under the Canada-Newfoundland and Labrador Labour Market Development Agreement (LMDA) was transferred from the Federal government to the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador.

As part of the LMDA Agreement, the Province also assumed responsibility for delivering the National Job Bank Service in Newfoundland and Labrador. The full transfer of responsibility for this service will be effective as of June 4, 2010. As of this date:

  • all employers who visit the National Job Bank site (www.JobBank.gc.ca) to post jobs for Newfoundland and Labrador will be directed to the Province's job site at www.JOBSinNL.ca to complete their postings;
  • all employers who have not previously registered at www.JOBSinNL.ca will be required to do so before posting a job. This includes employers who were formerly registered at www.JobBank.gc.ca; and
  • all jobs posted at www.JOBSinNL.ca will also be automatically linked to the National Job Bank. Employers will only have to post a job advertisement once at www.JOBSinNL.ca and it will be accessible to job seekers through both the national and provincial jobsites. This will also help expand opportunities for job seekers throughout the country and the world who are interested in finding out about job opportunities here in Newfoundland and Labrador.

If you are an employer who has been directed to this site (www.JOBSinNL.ca) from the National Job Bank site, you will need to complete your registration before posting a job if you have not already done so. Please click on 'Post a Job' tab on the top menu bar of this page and then click 'Register' to register for your account.
